Woot! Day 2 underway of my self-imposed 7 Day J.F.D.I. challenge. Anyone else out there suffer from a touch of "can't-be-bleedin-arsed?" at this time of year? This moon guided the teacher training crew to our 7.30am start in @samadhiyogis in Temple Bar for a beautiful pranayama practice on Saturday morning. Weekend number 4 is under the belt and we are growing together and getting closer as a group. What a priviledge it is to practice with such amazing people. NYE 2019 is upon us and I can't wait for the last birrah banter of the festive season before dry(ish) January kicks in. . I want to wish you all a stunning new year as well, and to say thank you to all of you who have supported my journey in 2019. I think you're flipping awesome. . I'll be starting 2020 with a bang, that's my mindset this year. I resolve to continuously show up for myself and exceed daily. Whatever that looks like. . This is a snapshot of my morning routine. I wake at 7am, make myself a coffee and climb back into bed for an hour of reading. It is a treat, an indulgence, a moment of calm. It also will invariably result in a Doberman crawling into bed for similarly indulgent cuddles...and I'm ok with that. . @ripleyregalfool

I rarely do this, but here goes. Shameless selfie time. Missing my blonde hair, but an oul lace front solves all a girl's woes. @websterwigs keeping me platinum when I need it most 😂🌸❤

Warning! Indulgent shmulsy yoga post coming up... . So I'm 3 months into my teacher training with the awesome @samadhiyogis and while it's hugely enjoyable, it can be a struggle. Making time to practice, read, learn, grow and teach is a constant challenge. But last night I stood on my mat and my whole mindset shifted... . This practice of mine is a gift, it is a privilege, and last night's work was coloured with the light of absolute gratitude. I am eternally grateful that I can indulge myself in something that has helped me so profoundly. And the idea that one day I will be sharing that with others?!...wow...life is awesome. . Find wonder where you can. Embrace the challenge, it's where you'll find room to grow...❤🌸❤🌸

Is it too much to ask that the universe slide me over a splash of sunshine and some creme brulé?! I really don't get how that's an unreasonable request. . Lads. It's bleeding poxy out there. Mulled wine and mince pies will have to suffice for now. Tis the season I suppose 😂🙌🍾

Phew...it's only been bleedin' months since I last threw a photo up on my IG, but I wanted to share something a little personal. Some of you may know the past few months have been...challenging...but when life hands you lemons, I make sure I keep the receipt and get myself a fat stack refund! Who needs lemonade anyway?! . Setting up my own business has been extremely daunting and I grapple daily with imposter syndrome. People tell you all about cashflow, book-keeping, tax affairs etc. but nobody tells you that every day you will sit down at your desk and strap yourself into a rollercoaster. Days feel like a game, and I go to bed exhausted each night after playing chess all day. Don't get me wrong, it is thrilling, and I am loving it! But it is a level of stress I wasn't quite expecting. . So a wonderful friend told me about a mood board, which she uses to maintain sanity levels. This is my moodboard. It is all the reasons I get out of bed in the morning and spend my days hustling. These are the things that keep me focussed and engaged, and ready to play this game of rollercoastery chess! It's my reminder that instead of allowing the stress or uncertainty to consume me, I should enjoy the madness and roll with it. . I actually can't believe how effective this moodboard of awesomeness has been for me. The images all have deep meaning so it snatches me back from the edge on the daily. . It feels damn good to be doing fitness again. With a completely different mindset this time; no scales, no measuring tape, no progress photos. Just moving because it feels good and loving the strength it gives me. Self-care and self-destruction sleep in the same bunk bed, you’ve gotta be careful which one you wake up! . I’m a new member in @auraleisureirl Drogheda and so far so good. It’s small but stacked with cardio and some well selected resistance options. And I’m living for the sauna and pool! Low cost gyms are grand, but it’s so good to be able to sweat of the workout in a sauna. 💪

We should be saying this every day, not just once a year when a special day comes round. Happy clappy instaland does not exist, guys. I’ve had some very low lows recently and it’s hard to know where to turn. You don’t want to burden friends, you want to be strong for family, and the dog just isn’t a good listener. . I’m a firm believer that things come right in the end; we all have our unique and crazy storms to weather. . If your storm is just too much then please reach out. You are not alone. A little over a year ago I made a conscious decision that I had given plenty of air time to my inner sabateour. Enough was enough. The time had come to put on my big girl pants and to pursue a long-desired creative outlet. I grabbed a hold of the Imposter Syndrome, gave her a hard shake & stern talking to and thus the Unqualified Blogger was born. . What started as a hobby to shine light on some self-criticism has evolved into something much more meaningful for me. This blog has been an outlet for me and a source of sanity during some recent challenging times. It has kept me moving with productive enterprise when laziness has crept in. . Back when I started I really couldn't believe it when one or two people followed, or a stranger dropped me a comment or a DM. And I still can't believe it when that happens! So I am chuffed today to see the number of wordpress followers hit 100. Maybe you see that number as tiny but I don't. I am grateful for every person who stops by to read the words I write or drop a comment or like. But even more so I am humbled by these 100 people who choose to actively follow. .
