I, like so many of us, am struggling with knowing where the work should end as my hours have slowly crept into crazy town. . But it's my assertion that Friday is a state of mind! "Any plans the weekend?" Is that a dumb question?! I keep asking it out of habit, but the answer is generally met with a bemused shrug and a stare off into the distance as we recall epic weekend plans of days gone by. . Sometimes I wish I lived in Ranelagh or Smithfield, where I could enjoy my lockdown life within the catchment areas of canals, parks and succulent freshly-roasted @3fecoffee. I see people having socially distant walks with friends or sitting with pals eating ice-cream in the sun at St. Anne's park, and for just a second I feel that all-familiar twinge of envy. . And then I take a walk down my little lane with the nosey cows, crusading sparrow hawks and dumb AF pheasants and I kick myself for having a "grass is greener" mindset when I'm so content in my corner of the world. . When we allow ourselves to live in another person's shoes, we lose connection with and appreciation for the wonderful things in our own little worlds. I am incredibly lucky to have a quiet patch to walk the dog and experience nature. . I am healthy, happy and my business is thriving, all of which I am so grateful for during these crazy days. We are blessed to be digitally intertwined during this experience; how different things would be if we didn't have family zooms and online shopping. . Life is simple. . . I am shattered today. Completely. I got dressed, put on a full face, fully convinced it would make me feel better...but I'm floored. I haven't had a "day off" in weeks (not even sure what that would look like). . I could plough on. Push through. Coffee up and buckle down. But I'm going to listen to my drained batteries and try and tune out for a wee while. . Too much zoom. Too few hugs. No family time. It all takes its toll. Be kind to yourself. Eat something yummy. Cuddle a puppy. Respect the hell out of yourself. . You're living through a pandemic. Put yisser feet up now and again, k?!

I've nothing witty, motivational or inspiring to say about this photo. Yesterday someone reminded me it was #internationalcocktailday. So I made a cocktail. It was good... . Ok. Ok. Ok. . Constructive criticism can be uncomfortable, scary, and exposing...but it's the space in which you will find room to grow. . This week (with clammy hands!) I opened myself up to constructive criticism from some amazing business owners. I got feedback on my website, my branding, my language, my social media activity...no stone was left unturned...and it wasn't all praise and roses. . Did it hurt? Hell no. When you are trying to grow a business you need to leave the ego at the door, close your mouth, open your ears and tune in to what the world is telling you. Yes, having vision is important, but so is learning about your blind spots so you can improve. . First things first, time to get my website in a shape where it looks and feels like me. In the absence of a pro photographer (@dorajeancreation I'm coming for you) I've done some DIY photos to bring my personality to life online. Time to shake up the website! NYE 2019 is upon us and I can't wait for the last birrah banter of the festive season before dry(ish) January kicks in. . I want to wish you all a stunning new year as well, and to say thank you to all of you who have supported my journey in 2019. I think you're flipping awesome. . This is a snapshot of my morning routine. I wake at 7am, make myself a coffee and climb back into bed for an hour of reading. It is a treat, an indulgence, a moment of calm. It also will invariably result in a Doberman crawling into bed for similarly indulgent cuddles...and I'm ok with that. . @ripleyregalfool

Warning! Indulgent shmulsy yoga post coming up... . So I'm 3 months into my teacher training with the awesome @samadhiyogis and while it's hugely enjoyable, it can be a struggle. Making time to practice, read, learn, grow and teach is a constant challenge. But last night I stood on my mat and my whole mindset shifted... . This practice of mine is a gift, it is a privilege, and last night's work was coloured with the light of absolute gratitude. I am eternally grateful that I can indulge myself in something that has helped me so profoundly. And the idea that one day I will be sharing that with others?!...wow...life is awesome. . Find wonder where you can. Embrace the challenge, it's where you'll find room to grow...❤🌸❤🌸

Is it too much to ask that the universe slide me over a splash of sunshine and some creme brulé?! I really don't get how that's an unreasonable request. . Lads. It's bleeding poxy out there. Mulled wine and mince pies will have to suffice for now. Tis the season I suppose 😂🙌🍾
